I’m BROOKE, the expert and creative behind b. rotter photography. I am a professional portrait photographer who seeks out all of the moments, big and small. I strive to capture your moments as they unfold. Creating lifelong art is the most fulfilling job I could have ever asked for. The moments between the poses are my absolute favorite, that glance of admiration, that giggle as your sweaty foreheads touch, that subtle butt grab when you think I’m not looking, all of it. Don’t get me wrong, I love a picture perfect photo for above the mantle, but I want you to look back at your photos and remember life exactly as it was, even if it is your toddler mid meltdown.
I have been in the industry since I was 14, 10 years later and I have found my groove. With a brand new studio, my longing to create lifelong art is high. I have fully blossomed into a “sad beige adult.” Neutrals have my heart. I have thoroughly contemplated removing my sleeve and a half of tattoos, simply to tattoo them back on in brown ink. Who knew that was thing and why did no one tell me at 18?
I have a whole tribe at home that allow me to create art. My wonderful Fiance, Devon, is the man standing firmly behind my business. He is never not hearing “so I was thinking,” thus how my studio was born. If you’ve ever worked with me before, chances are you’ve seen this lovely man, whether it be carrying around my gear, building sets on-site, or holding back our two giant dogs so that you can enter our home without being licked. We compensate for not having children by having two giant breed dogs, and a crabby old cat. The bonus of not having human children of our own is that I have plenty of patience to hang out with your children.

We haven’t had family pictures professionally taken in over 20 years, it was long overdue and Brooke was perfect. She made it easy to book a session and worked with our crazy schedule. Brooke was amazing to work with. We had a big family session and some individual sessions, our puppy, twin toddlers. Needless to say there was a lot going on and Brooke was calm and coordinated everything so well! She even had refreshments and cookies!
